Elizabeth Gunter, 76, of Tioga, passed from this life on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at the Jena Nursing and Rehab Center in Jena. She was born September 18, 1939 in Jena to the union of her parents, Herbert and Irma Beavers Corley. Mrs. Gunter was a C.N.A. Graveside services were held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, in the Belah Cemetery with Rev. Lonnie Weidner officiating. Interment followed under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Morris. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Smith of Pineville; son, Judas De- Wayne Gunter of Jena; granddaughter, Martha Warren of Pineville; grandson, Luther Paul Smith of Glenmora; and great grandchildren, Emily and Jeremy Warren.
