
Dalton “Hugo” Hanson, 58, of Many, and a native of LaSalle Parish, passed from this life on Monday, June 15, 2015, at his residence. Hugo was a graduate of Jena High School and was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor for Transocean Offshore Overseas Drilling Company. He had a great love for fishing and enjoyed his home on the banks of Toledo Bend. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville with Brother C. M. Kelly officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Memorial Park of Pineville under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Pineville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Gentry Dotson; stepfather, Virgil Dotson,Sr.; and his grandparents, Dalton and Louise Gentry. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Melinda Bardwell Hanson of Many; daughters, Marlee Hanson and Jamie Davis; son, Robbie Hanson; three grandchildren; brothers, William Dotson and wife Diane of Orange, TX, and Virgil Dotson, Jr. and wife Dawn of Harpers Ferry, WV; sister, Nobie Ross and husband Bill of Jena; and a host of other family members and friends. Pallbearers were William Dotson, Bill Ross, Gary Jones, Randy Bardwell, Raymond Bardwell, and Michael Cryer. Honorary pallbearers were Virgil Dotson, Jr., Roland Comeaux, and Will Langley.
