Janice Faye Crist, 56, of Olla, passed from this life at 6 a.m., Friday, April 12, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was a homemaker and served as a minister’s wife. Services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, April 15, at Olla Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jonathan Crist officiating. Interment followed in Jigger Memorial Garden of Memories Cemetery in Jigger under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Emma Frances Huey; sister, Mary Potter; and small children, Joyful Brooke Crist and Judah Michael Crist. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Johnny Ray Crist of Olla; daughter, Jolinda Crist of Olla; three sons, Rev. Jonathan Crist and wife Jamie of Olla, Jason Crist and wife Angie of Wisner, and Jarrod Crist and wife D’sir of Gilbert; brothers, Pat Huey, George Huey, Steven Huey, and Samuel Martin Huey, Jr.; grandkids include Jordan, Judah, Alex’Zandra, McKenna, David, Michael, Bentley, Addison, Dominion, Braxtyn, Kain and Kaylee. Pallbearers were Jewel Burr, Austin McCall, Seth Taylor, Anthony Conley, Adam Mach and Greg Bessett. Honorary pallbearers were Will LaRue, B. J. Phillips, and Mark Hutto.
