
Sally Ann Cockerham Flowers, 70, of Tullos, passed from this life on Monday, April 8, 2013, at her residence. She was born October 30, 1942 in Buna, Texas, to the union of her parents, Earlis “Jack” and Bertie Sally Cockerham. Sally was a self-employed secretary for 25 years in the family oil and gas business. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Georgetown. Her hobbies included fishing, crocheting, and ceramics. Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 11, at Zion Baptist Church with the Revs. Scott Tilton and Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, James “Bo” Earlis Cockerham. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Russell Flowers, Sr. of Tullos; three sons, Richard “Rick” Atwell and wife Judy of Metairie, Ray Atwell and wife Teresa Kay of Olla, and Russell Flowers, Jr. of Monroe; two daughters, Sheila Ann Randall and husband Darrel of Summerville, and Carolyn Lee Coates and husband Ernest Lee of Monterey; and a brother, Troy Lamar Cockerham and wife Jeana Marie of Tullos. Pallbearers were Danny Ferguson, Scott Cockerham, Willie Howell, Terry Lincecum, Darrel Randall, and Nathan Perot.
