Harrell Raymond Tucker, Sr., 83, of Columbia, passed to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Haven Nursing Center in Columbia. He was born September 16, 1930 in Shreveport to the union of his parents, Holley Benard and Opal Morgan Tucker. After serving his country in the United States Marine Corp, Mr. Tucker worked in the architecture and design industry his entire life before retirement. Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Jack McKeithen officiating. Interment followed in the Welcome Home Cemetery, east of Grayson, under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emma Jo Tucker; daughterin-law, Laura Tucker; and grandson, Caleb Tucker. Survivors include three sons, Harrell “Bubba” Tucker, Jr. and wife Sandra of Rosefield, Gary Tucker and wife Sandy of Columbia, and Kevin Tucker of Portland, OR; daughter, Lisa Jacks and husband Jeffery of Columbia; a brother, Dan Tucker and wife Linda of Mansfield, TX; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Sons and grandsons served as pallbearers.
