
Pamela “Pam” Dobbs Moody, 75, of Lake Jackson, Texas, and a native of Good Pine, passed from this life on Sunday, March 7, 2021, in Angelton, Texas.
She was born March 19, 1945 in Good Pine to the union of her parents, Lowell and Lorena Dobbs.
Pam was raised in Good Pine, attended Trout-Good Pine and graduated from Jena High School in 1963.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, attended ULM (Northeast Louisiana State College) and worked many years in the library, where she made many lifelong friends. She also enjoyed working for many years in the Radiology office of Dr. Fuchs in Lake Jackson.
In high school she is remembered as an awesome basketball player for the Jena Lady Giants and help win the state championships in 1961 and 1962, and was on the team that lost the state title by one point in 1963. She was All-State those three years.
Pam was the sweetest soul with a heart of gold. She will always be remembered as a kind, gentle mother, grandmother and friend. She was the essence of Southern charm and beauty.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 11, at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Moody of Olla; and her parents.
Pam is survived by her son, Jeffrey Moody and wife Laura of Chandler, TX; daughter, Kristi Moody Rodriguez of Lake Jackson, TX; grandchildren, Max and Macy Moody of Palestine, TX; Jackson and Presley Rodriguez of Lake Jackson; brother, Roger Dobbs and wife Pat of Jena; brother-in-law, William Moody and wife Ruby of Olla; and sister-in-law, Sue Baker of Florida.
