Robert Stanley Rogers, 84, of Urania, passed from this life on Friday, June 26, 2019, at an Alexandria hospital from injuries he received in a traffic accident near Urania.
He was born September 11, 1934 at Urania to the union of his parents, John Wilson Rogers and Lois Caroline “Tootsie” Durham Rogers.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 6, at the Urania Cemetery in Urania with the Revs. William Valentine and Richard Tull officiating.
Interment followed under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla and Columbia.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Mary Jane Rogers Gingles of Logansport; his brother, Earl Rogers (Joann) of Grayson; two uncles, Clarence Durham of Jena and D. L. Durham of Urania; and a host of other family members and friends.
