Ashton Lane Harris

Ashton Lane Harris became an angel in Heaven on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his residence in Latrell, Louisiana.

During his three short months here on Earth (born December 22, 2018), he touched many lives. He was deeply loved by his family and friends.

His life was a brief gift that will live on in the hearts of his parents, Wyatt and Rachel Harris of Latrell; his sisters, Danielle Burrus and Hadlee Burrus; his brothers, Jason Richard and Hayden Harris; his paternal grandparents, Shane and Nikki Prudhomme of Trout and Chris Harris of Eunice; maternal grandmother, Melinda Burrus of Eunice; paternal great grandparents, Dorothy Hardie Smart of Trout and Billy and Dale Jenkins of Eunice; maternal great grandparents, Eileen and Curtis Burrus of Sherman, TX and Calvin and Lavergne Ward of Bay City, TX; paternal great great grandmother, Joyce Hardie of Jonesville; paternal uncle, Cody Nugent and Aunt Tiffany of Aimwell; paternal aunt, Jamie (Aunt Amie) Bibbee and Uncle Nick of Pineville; paternal first cousins, Corbin Nugent, Jesse Wilson, Kylie Nugent, Alisa Melton, London Nugent and Briar Nugent; special friend of the family, Kenny Brown of Whitehall.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Daniel Burrus; paternal great grandfather, Mike Butler; paternal great great grandfather, Son Hardie; paternal uncle. Jesse Harris, and great uncles, Mikie Butler, Billy Joe Butler and James Harris.

Services were held at 12-noon on Friday, March 29, 2019 at New Hope Fellowship Church in Eunice with Pastor Chris Frye officiating.

Burial followed in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eunice, under direction of Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Eunice.

Pallbearers were Wyatt Harris, Cody Nugent and Kenny Brown.
