Jackie R. Reeves, 70, of the Sandy Lake Community of Catahoula Parish, passed from this life on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena.
He was born Thursday, June 17, 1948 at Jonesville to the union of Jephta Reeves and Dorothy Reeves.
Services were held at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 28, at First Pentecostal Church of Jonesville with Rev. Bruce Lofton officiating.
Interment followed in the Heard Cemetery near Manifest under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Shirley Reeves.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Carol Reeves; daughter, Michelle Hardie and husband Stewart of Jonesville; sons, Dale Reeves of Jonesville, Micheal Reeves and wife Shannon of Virginia, and Dewayne Reeves and wife Sonya of Jonesville; 11 grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, Cody, Payne, Aaron, Zachery, Delaney, Aliana, Allyssa, Emily and Israel; eight great grandchildren; brother, Roger Reeves; four sisters, Judy, Pam, Vivian and Nina; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Pallbearers were Joshua Herrington, Cody Herrington, Payne Hardie, Paul Burlew, Israel Wheeler, Aaron Reeves and Zachery Reeves.
