Fern Dell Tarpley, 82, of Georgetown, passed from this life on Monday, December 18, 2017 in Pollock. She was born December 7, 1935 in Aimoch to the union of her parents, Buford and Lorena Ainsworth Westbrooks. Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 21, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Ricky Gresham and Jessie Henderson officiating. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery of Pollock under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena. She was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Sandra Anglin; brother, Joseph Buford Westbrooks; sister, Ada Mae Hudgens; grandson, David Day; and granddaughter, Alesia Hunt. Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Aaron Hill (Carolyn) of Belah and Monroe Enterkin (Shanon) of Jena; daughters, Diane Hutzler (Jerry) of Summerville, Trudy Day (Ted) of Olla, Cammie Finlay (Gene) of Trout, Mary Meyers (Tommy) of Jena and Tammy Hunt (Roy) of Georgetown; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Raymond Westbrooks, Leroy Westbrooks, Eddie Westbrooks, P. J. Westbrooks, Owen Durand, Jr. and Casey Durand, with J. F. Westbrooks serving as an honorary pallbearer.
