Kenneth Darrell “Copus” Keene, 60, of Gainesville, Florida, and a native of Jena, passed from this life on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at his home. He was born in Jena on October 21, 1957 to the union of his parents, Cameron and LaVerna “Peggy” Keene. Copus will be missed by the many who knew and loved him. He is in the hands of God now, and the family will remember the good times until we meet again. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Douglas Keene; sister, Janice Keene; and many other relatives. Darrell leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 35 years, Donna Keene; his grandson, JayJay, which was his pride and joy; son, Kenneth Keene and his daughter, Kelley Keene; his sister, Patricia Moseley and husband Gary Don; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
