Lizzie M. Sikes, 75, of Jonesville, passed away in her residence on Monday, December 11, 2017.
She was born Tuesday, September 29, 1942 in Jonesville, to the union of Woodie Walker and Barbara Allen Wiggins.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 14, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in the Sandy Lake Community in Catahoula Parish with the Revs. Craig James and Joel Ford officiating.
Interment followed in the Heard Cemetery of Manifest under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dewey Sikes, Sr.; her parents; and sister, Dafney Murry.
Survivors include one son, James Sikes, Jr.; daughter, Christy Winborne and husband Kim; grandchildren, Justin Winborne (Taylor), Dustin Winborne (Emilee), Saxton Sikes (Bre), and Darby Sikes (Ethan); brothers, Doyle Wiggins and wife Diane, Danny Wayne Wiggins and wife Beth and Mitch Wiggins and wife Amelda; sisters, Ann Champlin and husband Benny, Sue Stockdale and Pee Wee McEntyre and husband Elbert.
Pallbearers were James Sikes, Jr., Sherman Wiggins, Derrick Wiggins, Darrell MaEntyre, Christian Wiggins, and Mike McEntyre.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren, Justin and Dustin Winborne, Saxton and Darby Sikes, and nephews.
