Carolyn Dianne Hatcher, 65, of Jena, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on March 24, 1952 to her parents, Henry and Cora Hatcher.
Carolyn attended Good Pine High School and graduated from Jena High School. She attended Robinson Business School in Monroe. After several years in Dallas, Texas, she returned to Jena and was employed at Century Telephone Company. For a number of years, Carolyn served as a member of the Jena Housing Authority Board of Directors.
Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 9, at New Evergreen Baptist Church, with Pastor Rev. Donald Sibley and Bishop Enuch Davis officiating.
Interment followed in Webster Cemetery of Good Pine under direction of Gayden Funeral Home of Jena.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jennie Hatcher; and a brother, Connie Hatcher.
She is survived by two brothers, Willie Hatcher of Yuma, AZ, and Don Hatcher of Jena; three sisters, Betty Addison of Jena, Gloria Shields of Natchitoches, and Letishia Hatcher of Jonesville; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Johnny Addison, Derrick Shields, Ray Gaines, Jr., Delvin Hatcher, Jaquandis Hatcher, Marquis Webb, Bobby Addison, and Terrence Purvis.
Honorary pallbearers were Willie Hatcher, Don Hatcher, Columbus Shields, Cletis Shields, and Robert Johnson.
