Steve Randall Humphries, 63, of Grayson, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport.

He was born December 21, 1955 to the union of George and Mavis Humphries.

Steve loved his family and friends, grandbabies, the outdoors, mowing the pasture, jeep riding and giving Veter a hard time.

Memorial services were held at 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, from the Olla chapel of Riser Funeral Home with the Revs. Denver McBroom and Todd Whittington officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers,  Glen Humphries and Jeff Humphries; and great-nephew,  Kohen Lane Humphries.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Laveta Shelton Humphries;  son,  Lance Humphries (Miranda); daughter,  Tera Humphries (Lisa) and Debbie Lee, who was just like a daughter to him;  brothers,  George Humphries (Sheran),  Larry Humphries (Mary),  and Tracy Humphries (Kathy); grandchildren,  Ashton Humphries (Maycie)  and Brayden Lee;  step-grandchildren,  Tyler Crochet (Colleen), Brian Melancon, Juliann Howard, Emily Abels and Sawyer Elliott;  great-grandchildren,  Holden and Waylon Humphries; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Oliver Milton Sanders, 93, of Pineville, and a native of Jena, passed from this life on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Pineville.

He was born September 26, 1926 in Jena to the union of his parents, Oliver Bing and Medora Belle Robertson Sanders.

Mr. Sanders proudly served our country in the United States Air force, retiring as a Staff Sergeant.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville with the Revs. Gary Wiley and Aaron Theard officiating.

Interment will follow with full military honors in the Tidwell Landing Cemetery near Jena under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Pineville.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Johnnie Lanier Sanders; parents, Oliver Bing and Medora Belle Robertson Sanders; brother, E. V. Sanders; and sister Lorean Breithaupt.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 14 years, Rita Joy Sanders; son, Norman Dale Sanders and wife, Kathy; daughters, Beverly Dawn Petre and husband Vince and Darla Rue Jones and husband, Paul; step-daughter, Gladys Bordelon; grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Harrison, Jared and Lauren Sanders, Morgan Wiley (Dustin) and Hannah Alexander (Devin); step-granddaughter, Emily Bordelon; granddaughter-in-law, Brandy Harrison; great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jaykob Harrison, Abbigail Petre, Kristopher, Isaac and Oliver Wiley; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Kemp Cole, Wendell Cole, Jared Sanders, Vince Petre, Devin Alexander and Reverend Aaron Theard.

The family has designated the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Rd Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256, for memorial contributions.

Virgil Thornton, Jr.

Virgil J. Thornton, Jr., 78, of Monroe, formerly of Columbia, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Monroe after an extended illness.

He was born January 8, 1941 in Baton Rouge to the union of his parents, Virgil J. Thornton, Sr. and Jimmie Lou Townley Thornton.

Junior, as he was known by friends and family, served his country proudly in the U. S. Air Force. He retired from Entergy where he started as a meter reader and moved up to a lineman. He was an active member of Olla Pentecostal Church where he served as a board member. He was a major part of Praise Singing before his illness prevented him from participating. Junior was a mentor to young men.

Services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9 at Olla Pentecostal Church of Olla with the Revs. Jonathan Crist and Robert Thornton officiating.

Interment followed at Silver Cross Cemetery of Tallulah under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia/Olla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 47 years, Alice Louise Littleton Thornton; his son, Richard Jay Thornton; and his sister, Patricia Thornton McGaha.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mildred Garner Thornton of Columbia; sons: Rev. Robert R. Thornton, Sr. (Loveta) of Tallulah, and Dr. Michael A. Thornton, EDD (Kimberly) of College Station, TX; daughters, Cynthia R. Williams (Edwin) of Tallulah, and Alicia Mechelle Thornton of Tallulah; step-children, Bryan Tucker (Trudy) of Summerville, Pamela Gayle Tucker of West Monroe, and Curt Tucker of Columbia; sisters, Glenda Rawls (Joel) of Holly Ridge, Brenda Whittington (Dwayne) of Holly Ridge, and Mary Elizabeth Fondren (William) of Tallulah; brother-in-law, Rev. Robert McGaha of Homer; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Heath Rawls, Garren Whittington, Neal Rawls, Ryan Rawls, Tyler Rawls and Chad Rawls.

Honorary pallbearers were Jordan Crist, Judah Crist, Wilburn LaRue and Ethan LaRue.

Joseph L. “Bo” Aarons

Joseph L. “Bo” Aarons, 71, and Charlotte Ruth Stutson Aarons, 74, residents of Enterprise passed away five days apart and joint services were held at the Rosefield Cemetery on Friday, December 13, 2019.

Bo was born August 7, 1948 and passed from this life Friday, December 6, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. Bo was a lifelong resident of Catahoula Parish and a member of Crossway Family Worship.

Bo enlisted in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War where he was wounded three times in battle, for which he was awarded three Purple Hearts.

After returning home from wartime, Bo began a career working in production at Freeport-Sulphur until he retired in 1998. During this time he served two years in the Louisiana National Guard.

After his retirement from Freeport-Sulphur, he began working with the United States Army Corp of Engineers building and repairing roads and levees. Most recently, Bo was successfully elected as Ward 3 Police Juror in Catahoula Parish.

Bo is preceded in death by his son, Charles Sterling “Scooter” Aarons; parents, J. C. and Faye Aarons; brother, Craig Aarons; sister, Brenda Tullos; niece, Priscilla Drane; grandson, Joseph Taylor Reeves; and nephew Dwayne Tullos.

Those left to cherish his memories are daughters, Ann Reeves with husband Gary of Hico, TX, Rayelyn Parker with husband Stacy of New Iberia, and Pamela Patten of Harrisonburg; sisters, Joyce Aarons and Lilly Book; and brother, Danny Aarons; in addition to Bo’s hunting, fishing, fence-building, hanging-out-together buddies include nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Cole Reeves, Garrett` Reeves, Jacob Parker, Caleb Patten, Joshua Patten, and Danielle Tullos.

Honorary pallbearers were Jonah Parker, Gerald Tullos, Sam Mason, Ray and Pam Lea, Sheriff Kenneth Headrick, Judson Drane, and Shane Townsend.

Charlotte Ruth Stutson Aarons

Charlotte was born December 19, 1944 and passed from this life Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the LaSalle General Hospital in Jena; Charlotte was a lifelong resident of Catahoula Parish and a member of Crossway Family Worship.

She worked for many years as district secretary of Catahoula Soil and Water Conservation District in Harrisonburg. She later served as a member of that governing board. Charlotte’s life was marked by service to her family, church, community, and others.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Bo” Aarons; son, Charles Sterling “Scooter” Aarons; parents, Charles B. “Chic” and Beatrice Stutson; grandson, Joseph Taylor Reeves; and niece Ginger Tiser.

Those left to cherish her memories are daughters, Ann Reeves with husband Gary of Hico, TX, Rayelyn Parker with husband Stacy of New Iberia, and Pamela Patten of Harrisonburg; and sister, Dorothy S. Tiser of Sicily Island. Charlotte enjoyed the precious lives of nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John Tiser, III, Ken Blankenship, Ty Blankenship, Jake Davis, B. J. Book, and Michael Herndon.

Roger Bordelon

Roger Bordelon, 64, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019, at The Summit Retirement Center.

He was born in Jena.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Sue Brooks and Wilmore Bordelon; sister, Mary Bordelon; two brothers, Lester Bordelon and Marvin Bordelon; and a grandson, Bubba Watkins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Amanda Carraway and husband Jason and Terica Bordelon; son, Jimmy Ronsonet and wife Leann; sister, Sharon Ketten and husband Robert; brother, Paul Bordelon and wife Ann; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The family will have a small memorial service in Franklin, LA at a later date.

Herman Charles Dunn, 82, of Effie, LA passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019.

He was born July 5, 1937 to the union of Herman and Ferral McCann Dunn.

Charles was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He joined the United States Navy after high school and began his entrepreneurship, from Mobile Air to Who’s Riding Where, website, also, including traveling the world providing housing for victims of national disasters.

Later in life his love for beautiful horses, and young people, one may have found him at a team penning or rodeo, paying entry fees and cheering on the completion.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville with Rev. Gary Norris officiating.

Interment followed in Hayes Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife of 39 years, Nelda Woodson Dunn.

Left to treasure his memory is Linda Cook Dunn, his devoted; four sisters, Una Lee Cammack, Mildred Huffman, Mary Ellen Paul, and Janet Kennedy; his children, Sherry Parker, Susan Cole, Mike and Meloney Dunn; his 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations in his honor can by sent to Build Your House on the Rock Ministries, PO Box 12764, Lake Charles, LA 70612-2764, supporting Casa Para Ninos Aleluya, Guatemala, Mexico; Mike and Dottie Clark’s Mission for orphaned children.

Rebecca Lynn Coleman Forrest, 59, of Jena, was received into Heaven on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

She was born August 5, 1960 in Kimball, Nebraska to the union of Warren Douglas “W.D.” and Linda June (Horn) Coleman.

Rebecca was a woman of Christian faith and loved researching and studying the Bible and often journaled from the Word, and hymns.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Steve Jones officiating.

Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena, under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Krystal Forrest Redfern (Chris) and Lacie Forrest; one sister, Charlene Carter; two brothers, Douglas Coleman (Janet) and David Coleman (Rebecca); five grandchildren, April, Greggory, Mark Redfern, Hannah Redfern, Luke Forrest and Mia Forrest; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were David Coleman, Chris Moore, Mark Redfern, Scott Thiels, Andrew Thiels, and Joey McCann.

Joe A. Ganey, 72, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in his home with his wife at his side. He was born February 13, 1947 in Alexandria to the union of Leland and Jo Wade Ganey. Joe served in the National Guard during peace time. He worked in the oilfield throughout his life and had a great love of the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.   Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary “Beth” (Buxton) Ganey; two brothers, Gerald Ganey (Donna) of Baton Rouge, and Leland Ganey (Vicki) of Sarasota, FL.  The family of Joe Ganey will see to his final wishes privately as per his request. Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena was trusted with arrangements.

He liked to hunt and fish and liked the Saints and LSU football. He always enjoyed spending time with his family.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, at Heard Cemetery of Manifest with Rev. Bill Cotton officiating.

Interment followed under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by Evelyn and Larry St. Amand; Donald Phillips; Kathy Elliot Mayo; Cindy Acosta and Aiden Mayo.

James Milton “Hog” Paul, 72, of Nebo, passed from this life on Monday, December 16, 2019, after a nearly six-year battle with cancer.

He was born November 23, 1947 in Jena to the union of his parents, Milton and Lillian Bignar Paul.

James was a United States Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. For a time, he served with the local Veterans’ Honor Guard until he became physically unable.  The family feels extremely blessed that they will honor him now.

As of press time on Monday, arrangements had not been made but will be handled by Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. The wake and service will be at Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church of Nebo.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Diane Girlinghouse Paul; one daughter, Jessica Paul; one son, James G. “Jay” Paul and daughter-in-law, Michelle; two grandchildren, Brianna and Blake Paul; one brother, Philip Paul and wife, Carolyn; three sisters, Opal Cole and husband, David, Clara Ford and husband, Quincy and Irma Jean Curtis; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Malcolm Edwin Poole, 54, of Jena, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 1, 1965 in Jena to the union of Doyle Poole and his sweet wife Jo Ann Poole.

Edwin, as he was affectionately known to all, spent his working career as a contractor in the construction industry. He was a bright spirited soul and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to meet him.

A memorial service was held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Jimmy Keene and Bobby McGuire officiating.

Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena, under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Khristi Bignar Poole of Jena; two sons, Garrett Poole and Nathan Poole, both of Jena; his mother, Jo Ann Poole, of Jena; one sister, Missy Amyx, and husband Sid of Jena; one brother, Steve Poole and wife Christina of Jena.

Rev. Elton Deloy Cahoon, 70, of Jena, passed from this life on Monday, December 16, 2019, following a brief illness.

He was born September 12, 1949 in Truman, Arkansas, to the union of his parents, Leroy Cahoon and Verona Meeks Cahoon.

For more than 33 years, from 1986 to 2019, Rev. Cahoon served as pastor for several churches including Aimwell Baptist Church, Bellevue Baptist Church, SouthSide Baptist Church, Bentley Baptist Church, Sicily Island Baptist Church, Dubach Baptist Church, Castor Baptist Church, and his final pastorate, Bellevue Baptist Church.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 19, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Scotty McDowell and Ricky Gresham officiating.

Interment followed in the Jena Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Kaye Henry.

Those left to cherish in his memory include his wife, Deborah Chevallier Cahoon; three daughters, Deborah LeAnn Smith and husband Danny of Jena, Sherrie Renee Ingram of Olla, and Rebekah Gwen Renz and husband Timmy of Jena; brother, Delton Cahoon and wife Brenda of Black Oak, AR; sister, Pat Cahoon of Jena; grandchildren, Daren Smith, Brittney Smith, Joel Smith, Julie Sharp, Jessica Smith, Jacob Ingram, Kylie Ingam, Hayden Renz, Malakai Renz, and Jaxon Renz; and 15 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joel Smith, Tony Dupuis, Daren Smith, Mac Henry, Brian Dupuis, and Timmy Renz.

Joshua Carter Childress, 43, of Columbia, passed from this life on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Columbia.

He was born September 27, 1976 in Natchez, Mississippi, the son of Shirley Ann Stephens and Robert Lee Stephens.

Joshua loved his family so much. He especially loved spending time with his brother-in-law, Jason. They would often fish together and ride 4-wheelers, which Joshua enjoyed. Joshua was a prankster and loved a good laugh. He enjoyed eating a good meal with his family.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 23, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Chris Gainous officiating.

Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Rhinehart under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Brandy Ragsdale (Jason); brother, John Stephens (Sheila); grandmother, Annie Jones; his nephews he adored, Tyler Ragsdale, Trey Ragsdale, Landon Ragsdale, John Stephens and Zach Stephens; his best buddies, Ronnie, Cowboy, Kevin and the rest of the boys at Lakeview as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were Aaron Evans, Thomas Kennedy, Jason Ragsdale, Jeremy Gainous, Justin Gainous, James Gainous and Ronald Romaire.

Marvin E. Jones, 79, of Farmerville and a native of Jena, passed from this life on Monday, December 16, 2019.

He was born October 8, 1940 in Jena to the union of Lanys E. Jones and Luella Enterkin Jones.

Marvin was a member of Farmerville First Baptist Church and the owner/operator of Louisiana Bridge, Inc. of Farmerville. He was a pioneer in heavy highway, street and bridge construction. During his lifetime, he invented and improved many forming systems for this industry.

He was honored as the Outstanding Business Person of the Year by the Union Parish Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Jones was very proficient in all phases of heavy machine operation.

Marvin also served as an officer with the Louisiana A.G.C.

He was a kind, generous and loving man who loved his children and grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 19, at Farmerville First Baptist Church with Rev. Kurt Auger officiating.

Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Jena under direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Geneva Kitterlin.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kaye Barrett Jones of Farmerville; children, Aleta Hutto and husband Glenn of Farmerville, Sonya Justice and husband Buster of Camden, AR and Bradley Jones and wife Stacy of Farmerville; grandchildren, Ryan Allen, Alese Jennings, Lindsey Gadberry, Taylor Thomas and Justice Jones; great-grandchildren, Colton, Alyra, Addison, Lane and Olivia; brothers, David Jones and wife Martiel and Kirby Jones and wife Louise, all of Jena; and a host of other family and friends.

James Milton “Hog” Paul, 72, of Nebo, passed from this life on Monday, December 16, 2019 after a nearly six-year battle with cancer.

He was born in Nebo on November 23, 1947 to the union of his parents, Milton and Lillian Bignar Paul.

James was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. For a time, he served with the local Veterans Honor Guard until he became physically unable. The family feels extremely blessed that the Veterans Honor Guard honored him at his passing. He was a member of Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church and worked as a switcher in the oilfield.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church of Nebo with the Revs. Curtis Thornton, Dan Davis, and Joey Paul officiating.

Interment followed in the Nebo Cemetery at Nebo with full military rites, under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 52 years, Diane Girlinghouse Paul; one daughter, Jessica Paul; one son, James G. “Jay” Paul and daughter-in-law, Michelle; two grandchildren, Brianna and Blake Paul; one brother, Philip Paul and wife, Carolyn; three sisters, Opal Cole and husband, David, Clara Ford and husband, Quincy and Irma Jean Curtis; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Kevin Wilson, Gordon Paul, Dolan Pendarvis, Bo Bignar, Greg Paul, Joe Harvey Paul, Keith Hudnall, and Scott McLendon.

Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Paul, Norris Dale Jackson, Kenneth “Buck” Randall, Louis Martin Paul and Doyle Stevenson.

Johnnie Lee Clark, Sr., 76, of Rhinehart, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 in Alexandria.

He was born September 10, 1943 in Jena to the union of his parents, Johnnie Isaac Clark and Clara Smidt Clark.

Johnnie Lee was a wonderful husband of 57 years and father of six children, who loved spending time with his large family. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening, providing most of the family meals with these activities. His work life included 42 years as maintenance supervisor at the LaSalle Parish Courthouse.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Pine Grove Baptist Church of Rhinehart with the Revs. Ashton Clark and John Spears officiating.

Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; and daughter-in-law, Misty Randall Clark.

Those left to cherish in his memory include his wife, Lois Lee Sharp Clark of Rhinehart; sons, Johnnie Lee Clark, Jr. of Rhinehart, Timothy Lane Clark and wife Jenea of Kelly, Tracy Glenn Clark and wife Lisa of Jena, and Ricky Nathan Clark of Trout; daughters, Vicky Lynn Bignar and husband Mike of Olla, and Diana Clare Courtney and husband Gary of Rhinehart; brother, Cecil Clark of Rhinehart; sisters, Shirley Martin of Jena, Margaret Armstrong and husband Bill of Rhinehart, and Judy Hargrove of Jena; grandchildren, Miranda Wilson (Charlie), Laura Jones (Casey), Lisa Adkins (William), Jared Clark, Andrew Clark, Dustin Clark (Kaitlin), Brittany Rider (John), Colton Clark, Dakota Clark, Ashton Clark, Spencer Clark, Elijah Clark, Rachel Clark, Brenna Courtney, Mallory Courtney, Gabriella Courtney; great grandchildren, Karley Wilson, Aidan Wilson, Matthew Jones, Chase Jones, Logan Adkins, Jake Adkins, Ellie Clark, and Jentry Rider.

John Mack Curry, 64, of Jonesville, passed from this life on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

He was born January 6, 1955 to the union of his parents, Rev. Mayo and Laura Curry.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 29, at Wallace Ridge United Pentecostal Church of Jonesville with the Revs. Tyler Steveison and Charlie Curry officiating.

Interment followed in the Oakley Cemetery of Wisner under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl Curry, Sherman Curry and Solon Curry; and son, Mike Corley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie Curry of Jonesville; son, John Curry and wife Kimberly of Jena; daughter, Onita Littleton and husband Chad of Jena; daughters, Monica Smith and husband Jeremy of Oakdale and Carla Curry and husband Curtis of Jonesville; brothers, Charlie Curry and wife Alfreida of Reisterstown, MD and Jerry Curry and wife Mary of Ferriday; sisters, Clara Elliott and husband James of Jena and Katherine Mills and husband Charles of Jena; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Ronnie Henderson, 60, of Harrisonburg, passed from this life on Monday, December 23, 2019, at his home.

He was born April 24, 1959 in Harrisonburg to the union of his parents, Melvin Henderson and Margaret Henderson.

Services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 26, at Meyers Bend Pentecostal Church of Harrisonburg with Rev. Bill Cotton officiating.

Interment followed in the Heard Cemetery at Manifest under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.

He was preceded in death by his father; and nephew, Jeffrey P. Starks.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kim Henderson; two sisters, Sheila Johnson and Christina Starks, both of Pineville; mother, Margaret Henderson of Harrisonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Raymond Adams, Wayne Jones, Mark Harstad, Eric Parker, Trey Thomley and Justin French.

Honorary pallbearers were William “Billy” Smith and Olan Johnson Sr.
