Edna Mae Breithaupt

Edna Mae (Brown) Breithaupt, 82, of Jena, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 13, 2015 in Jena. She was born Saturday, October 28, 1933 in Wilkinson County, Mississippi to the union of Thomas Jefferson and Hattie Emma (Phipps) Brown. Mrs. Mae, as she was affectionately known by so many, was employed for many years in retail businesses in Jena. Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 15, in the Jena First Baptist Church with the Revs. Dominick Di- Carlo and Todd Norris officiating. Interment followed in the Jena Cemetery, east of Jena, under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home. Mrs. Breithaupt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 24 years, Charlie Willis “C. W.” Breithaupt; a daughter Tonia (Breithaupt) Cockerham; two brothers, T. J. Brown and Norris Brown; and a great-great- grandson, Carson Hall. Survivors include three daughters, Sue Cappo of Praireville, Charlene Greene and husband Doug of Natchez, MS, and Charliea Breithaupt of Jena; son-in-law, Bobby Sandifer of Jena; one brother, Sonny Brown and wife Barbara of Woodville, MS; three sisters, Mary Lee Johnson of Natchez, MS, Lucille Baker of Baton Rouge, and Beverly Sutton and husband Elwood of Salado, TX; eight grandchildren, Jeff Hall and wife Roxanne, Chris Hall and wife Ashley, Stevie Hall, Lisa Keith, Tommy Greene and wife Neely, Samara (Cockerham) Smith and husband Carl, Sandi Sandifer and Jenni Sandifer; fifteen great-grandchildren, Brian Hall, Kristen Hooper, Billy Hall, Emily Hall, Ethan Hall, Taylor Hall, Riley Hall, Sawyer Hall, Carley Keith, Madison Greene, Lydia Smith, Luke Smith, Brady McGehee, Blake McGehee, Beau Riley Thompson; four great-great-grandchildren, Hayes Hall, Austin Hall, Emma Grace Hall, and Eli Hall; very dear friends, the Mitchell family and staff of the Brisket House and Cindy Boothe and Sabrina Boothe. Pallbearers were Jeff Hall, Chris Hall, Stevie Hall, Tommy Greene, Grady McGehee, and Blake McGehee. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Cockerham and Bobby Sandifer.
