James David Hall, 94, of Olla, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on June 23, 1921 at Crowville, to the union of his parents, J. D. Hall and Susie Hall. James was a United States Air Force Veteran of World War II and a member of the Olla Pentecostal Church. Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 27, from the sanctuary of Olla Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jonathan Crist officiating. Interment followed in the Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla, under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife, Elana Hoard Hall. Survivors include his beloved wife, Faye H. Hall of Olla; his daughters, Glenda Ogg Shaw and husband Gene of Eros, and Vicky Jackson and husband John of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Lisa and Gene Shaw, Jr; and one great grandson: Logan Shaw.
