Mary Maxine LeGrande, 85, of Winnfield, and formerly of LaSalle Parish, passed from this life on Monday, May 27, 2013. She was born Friday, July 29, 1927 in Jena to the union of her parents, Harvey Ellis Carrier and Lillie Pearl Carrier. Mrs. LeGrande was a member of Winnfield First Baptist Church and a former member of Good Pine Baptist Church in Good Pine. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, at Good Pine Baptist Church
with the Revs. John Holland and Stephen Laughlin officiating. Interment followed in Jena Cemetery of Jena under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Alfred “Jack” LeGrande, Jr.; brother, Gerald Carrier; and sister, Mildred Terral. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jacqueline “Jackie” Gaddis and husband Dr. Bill Gaddis of Winnfield; one son, Randy Alfred LeGrande and wife Debra of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Dr. Todd Gaddis, Jason LeGrande, Amy Gaddis Laing, Jamie LeGrande Blake, and Sara LeGrande Zenk; great grandchildren, Gracie Allison Blake, Everett Lee Blake, John Robert Blake, Michael Donavan Laing, Mary Claire Laing, and Kaylee Alexis Zenk. Pallbearers were Jason LeGrande, Dr. Todd Gaddis, Ryan Cox, Nick Zenk, Shannon Blake and Don Cox. Honorary pallbearers were Craig Rice, Dwight Callender, and Don Causey.
