
Floreine Davis Garner, 96, of Montgomery, Alabama, and formerly of Olla, passed from this life on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Crowne Nursing Center in Montgomery following an extended illness. She was born September 18, 1918 at Greyberg, Texas, to the union of her parents, John Grover Davis and Vonie Laura Dorman Davis. Mrs. Garner spent the last 19 years in Montgomery, AL with her daughter and best friend and granddaughter, Bailey Lauren Clements,
following the death of her husband. Prior to moving from Olla, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Olla, where she also served as church secretary. Services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, from the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Olla with Rev. Woody Rhymes officiating. Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla/Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Jesse Milton Garner. Survivors include her daughter, Tammi Garner Muir and husband Mark of Prattville, AL; her son, Johnnie Doyle Wooley of Alt Lussheim, Germany; seven grandchildren, Bailey Lauren Clements, Mark Wooley, Jessica Wooley, Cliff Wooley, Debbie Garner Clark, Steve Garner, and Susan Garner; and a number of great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Donald Vueleman, Dan Veuleman, Patrick McDougald, and Jonny Fryar.
