Thomas E. “Eddie” Harrison, Sr., 83, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and a former resident of LaSalle Parish, passed from this life on Sunday, May 3, 2015, in Ocean Springs. Eddie, as family and friends in this area knew him, graduated from Jena High School. He was a resident of the coast since 1975 and retired from the United States Air Force as a Tech/Sgt. He then worked as an Electrical Engineer at Ingalls Shipbuilding, where he retired. He was instrumental in implementing youth bowling as a curriculum into the Jackson Country School District. Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. The procession then left for a 2:30 p.m. graveside service in Biloxi National Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Jean Harrison; daughter, Heather Raymo; three sons, Thomas Edward Harrison, Jr., William Henry Harrison and James Edward Harrison; one sister, Mary Jane “Sis” Welch of Jena; two brothers, Henry C. Harrison and George Howard; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the YABA Youth Association of Bowling in Ocean Springs, or to the Disabled Veterans of America.
