Josephine Elizabeth Breland, 89, of Jena, passed from this life on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. She was born September 17, 1925 in Poplarville, Mississippi, to the union of her parents, Monroe and Nettie Smith Breland. Mrs. Breland was a homemaker. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Magnolia Baptist Church near Nebo with Rev. Mark Breland officiating. Interment followed in the
Magnolia Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Rawlins Breland; son, Nelson Sanders; daughters, Shirley Jo Buckalew, Daisy Sanders,
and Gladys Sanders; parents; sisters, Idell Enterkin and Cleo Smith; and brother, Forest Breland. Survivors include her daughter, Faye Odom of Mississippi; two sons, Pete Breland and wife Eileen of Jena, and C. J. Sanders and wife ary Ann of Poplarville, MS; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
