Jimmy “Ben” Homan, 60, of Jonesville, passed from this life on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. He was born February 18, 1953 in Montgomery, Kentucky, to the union of his parents, Raiford James and Lena Frances Homan. Ben was a resident of Jonesville and a truck driver. Services were held Saturday, April 27, at Jonesville Pentecostal Church with Rev. Cliff Hilton officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of Young’s Funeral Home of Jonesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jerry Dean Homan. Survivors include two daughters, Shelena Davis of Vidalia, and Delta Groh and husband Chris; two brothers, Larry Homan of Leonville, and Billy Homan of Jena; a sister, Mary Ann Marcell of Carencro; two grandsons, Burton Ray and Jack Layton Davis; two granddaughters, Brena Dee Ray and Leah Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Burton Ray, Robert Wiggins, Michael Homan, Little Billy Homan, Chris Groh, Tyler Sharp, and Camden Thibodeaux.
