Terry Jay “Apple” Gregory, 58, of Jena, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at LaSalle General Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 25, 1962, to Billy Fred and Tomie (Gibbins) Gregory in Urania.
Terry was a graduate of Jena High School. After graduation, he embarked on a lifelong career in the oil industry.
Terry attended Fellowship Baptist Church and was a member of Gideon’s International. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason in the Michael Dempsey Masonic Lodge.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Tom Swain officiating.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debby Nix Gregory; father, Billy Fred Gregory; brother, Tim Gregory; and nephew, Paul Munholland.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Tomie Gregory of Jena; his sisters, Tonia Gregory and Tami Gregory, both of Jena; one son, Allen Gregory of Lake Charles; one daughter, Kim Gregory of Beckley, WV; one stepson, John Lee and wife Melissa of Greenbrier, AR; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
