Linda Webster Jackson, 60, of Jena, passed from this life on Friday, July 10, 2020.
She was born December 4, 1959 in Jena, to the union of her parents, Elbert and Idell Webster.
Linda was baptized at L&A Baptist Church in Good Pine by Rev. Dave Mays in 1973.
She attended elementary school in Good Pine, Junior High and High School in Jena, graduating in 1979 from JHS.
Linda’s employment included teacher II at Olla and LaSalle Head Start, school bus driver for LaSalle School System, cashier at Walmart, and personal care attendant with We Care Home Care.
At church, Linda served in the senior usher ministry and women’s ministry. Her civic and fraternal organizations include Oriole #18, O.E.S., PHA; Mary G.M. White Court #12; H. S. Nesby Scholarship Foundation, Tiger Cub Leader – Troop 115 of Boy Scouts of America.
In addition to her busy schedule, Linda still found time for cooking, searching through cookbooks and magazines for new recipes, and playing dominoes.
The life, legacy and love of Linda Webster Jackson was celebrated on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 11 a.m., at Webster Cemetery of Good Pine with Rev. Chauncey M. Hardy officiating.
Cherishing her memories are her husband, David Jackson; sister, Connie W. Parker (Ricky); aunts, Ivessa Donald, and Margie W. Turner (Thomas); uncles, Louis Webster (Sandra); Calvin Donald, and Eddie Webster; Special Mom, Barbarean Elmore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was proceded in death by her parents; sister, Gwendolyn Dozier; and grandparents, William and Pearl Ola Webster and Charlie and Corine Jackson Donald.
Active pallbeares were Alton Dozier, Andre Dozier, Maurice Smith, Aaron Dozier, Garland Dozier, and Raymond Dozier.
