Jerry Lane Lee, 76, of Olla, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his home in Olla surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 7, 1943 in California to the union of his parents, Charles Sidney Lee and Jeanie Baum Lee.
Jerry Lane had served his communtity as a former Mayor of Georgetown, and served his country in the United States Army. He was a Certified Public Accountant, Entrepreneur having owned a building supply and lumber company. He was also a Union Steward in local 492 dealing with official business on behalf of its members.
He attended the Pleasant Grove Church of God at Grayson as his health would permit.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 24, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Edward Dickerson officiating.
Interment with full military honors followed in the Urania Cemetery in Urania under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia/Olla.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is his wife of fifty-five years, Peggy Stamper Lee of Olla; two daughters, Janie Carr (Jimmy) of Georgetown, and Elaine Bunn (Edward) of Ball; two sons, Jeremy Lee and Jason Lee (Jayme), all of Georgetown; 11 grandchildren, Jamie Kelly, Caleb Bunn, Keri Ann Mayfield, Mackenzie Bunn, Cody Lee, Jase Mayfield, Grayson Lee, Ryan Lee, Maddie Bunn, Lauren Lee and Seth Lee; and one great grandson, Anthony Lane Lee.
Pallbearers were Edward Bunn, Jimmy Carr, Jason Lee, Jeremy Lee, Jase Mayfield, Grayson Lee, Chuck Nugent, C.J. Nugent, Nathan Stamper and Gaylen Maltempi.
