
Terry L. Spence, Sr., 65, of Catahoula Parish, and a native of Jena, passed from this life on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria.
He was born May 7, 1954.
Terry loved to fish, boil crawfish and spend time with family and friends picking about killing the biggest deer. He was a 1973 graduate of Jena High School in Jena.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19, at New Life Pentecostal Church of Manifest with the Revs. David Poole, Michael Couch, Ronnie House, and Joel Ford officiating.
Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery of Aimwell under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 43 years, Kathy Spence; sons Lynn Spence (Ashley) and Dustin Spence (Heather); six grandchildren, Luke Spence, Timothy Spence, Caleb Spence, Lacey Rae Spence, Jake Spence and McKinley Spence; siblings, Robert Lee Spence Jr. (Linda), Cindy Fitzgerald (Eugene), Bruce Spence (Amy) and Janice Nolker (Stephen); and numerous other relatives and a whole host of friends.
Pallbearers were Matt Dill, J.J. Johnson, Mike Spence, Buddy Spence, Casey Harrell, Corey Coleman, Joseph Spence and Robin Andrews.
Honorary pallbearers were Allen Rodgers, Leroy Joiner, Buddy Tyler, Butch Davis, Chester Cooper, Jack Coleman, Josh Smith, Rob Whitehead, Kenny Spence, Robert Lee Spence III and Matthew Spence.
