Larry Chevallier

Larry Lavelle Chevallier, 74, of Jena, passed from this life on Thursday, January 16, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 8, 1945 in Jena to the union of his parents, Lonnie Chevallier and Minnie Emrick Chevallier.

Larry collected tractors and refurbished them as a hobby.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Ricky Gresham, Johnnie Phillips and Jeremy Brister officiating.

Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena, under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willard Chevallier and Raymond Chevallier; and sister, Corrine Smith.

Those left to cherish in his memory include his wife, Nettie Calk Chevallier of Jena; son, Larry Lee Chevallier and wife Monique of Jena; stepson, Jerry Brister and wife Amy of Germany; daughter, Cheryl Joiner and husband John of Jena; step-daughter, Karen Achord and husband Edward “Bubba” of Trout; sisters, Sybil Ford of Alexandria, and Wanda Cantrell of Memphis, TN; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Brister, Jeff Bento, Bud Nugent, Nick Bento, Logan Thompson, and Bobby Worsham.

Honorary pallbearers were Kyler Chevallier, Sam Achord, and Trae Jones.
