Bonnie Lois Berlinger, 73, of Jonesville, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at The Columns Community Care Center in Jonesville. She was born April 16, 1940, in Oberlin, to the union of her parents, Nealy J. and Mollie Veillion Rider. Mrs. Berlinger was a caregiver and worked as a nurses’ aide. Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at Mayna Church of God with Rev. Lloyd Trisler officiating. Interment followed in the
Heard Cemetery of Manifest under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Rider; sister, Vera Humphries; and nephew, Hollis Humphries. Survivors include five sons, Neal Chapman of Slidell, Dale Chapman of Oberlin, Gary Chapman of Morgan City, Joe Chapman of Bridge City, TX and Michael Chapman of Fairfax, VA; two brothers, Ronald Rider and Donald Rider, both of Jonesville; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Grandsons and friends served as pallbearers.
