Anita Louise Slay Colvin, 77, of Benton, passed from this life on Monday, December 2, 2013, at her residence in Benton. She was born December 28, 1935 in Standard to the union of Walter and Myrtle Slay. Anita had a long career in the government as a civil service worker. Services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla. Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clark Colvin, Sr.; son, Clark Colvin, Jr.; and two brothers, Harold Slay and Kenneth Slay. Survivors include two sons, Steve Colvin of Benton and Wade Colvin and wife Janna of Amarillo, TX; six grandchildren, Buster Alexander, Sunny Alexander, Michelle Landes, Brandon Colvin, Rebecca Allen, and Catie Colvin; eight great grandchildren, Taytum Kacey Alexander, Brooklyn Kruz Alexander, Sampson Ray Landes, Silas Warren Stephens, James Clarke Colvin, Myra Annabelle Colvin, Addie Ila-Marie Allen, and Jameson Clark Allen. Pallbearers were Steve Colvin, Wade Colvin, Brandon Colvin, Mark Slay, Glen Henderson, and Tom Nagler.
