James Slagle Mc-Guffee, 80, of Jena, went to meet his Savoir on Friday, August 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 27, 1938, in Aimwell, to the union of James and Ida King McGuffee.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 11, at Temple Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Keene and Jonathan Cameron officiating.

Interment followed at Springridge Cemetery in the Aimwell Community under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Henry W. McGuffee; four cousins who were near and dear to his heart, “Big” Jim McGuffee, Alice Winegeart, Herbert Alice, and Glynn McGuffee.
