Preston Wallis Parker, Sr., 82, of Trout, passed from this life on Monday, May 27, 2019.
He was born January 16, 1937 in Rockdale, Texas.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 31, from the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Jeff Morea officiating.
Interment followed in the Jena Cemetery, east of Jena, under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sterling Thomas Parker of Rockdale, TX; mother, Tissie Bell Wade of Rockdale, TX; and brothers, Sonny Parker, Billy Joe Parker, and Cecil Parker.
Those left to cherish in his memory include his wife, Anita Hammers Parker of Trout; sons, Preston Wallis Parker, Jr. and wife Connie of Lakehills, TX, and Robert Thomas Parker and wife Tammy of Houston, TX; daughters, Janice Marie Ainsworth and husband Danny of Trout, and Judith Annette East and husband Scott of Spring, TX; sister, Artie Hope Parker Maresh and husband Otto of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Christopher Parker, Preston Wade East, Tyler East, Alan Jones, Scott East, and Brad Arnold.
