Annie Ruth “Sookie” Scott, 70, of Jena, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at her home. She was born October 29, 1943 in Pineville to the union of Tom and Leana White Kittlin. Mrs. Annie was a graduate of Good Pine High School, employed by Louisiana Pacific for five years and by Hixson Brothers Funeral Home for 18 years as a housekeeper. She also worked for several families in the community. She
was always busy being momma to everyone. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the New Evergreen Baptist Church of Jena with Rev. Jackie Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Webster Cemetery of Good Pine under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Bobby R. Scott. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bobby D. Scott of Jena; one son, Kirby Scott of Jena; two daughters, Carla Scott Jones and Michelle Lynn Scott (Levi), all of Jena; brother, Tom Kittlin (Althea) of Vallejo, CA; two sisters, Dorothy Brown (Cyril) and Mary Kittlin, all of Jena; three grandchildren, Bobby Addison, Markita Addison, and DeMarcus Addison; and a great grandchild, Markeece Addison. Pallbearers will be Kevin Patterson, Dexter Kittlin, Derek Johnson, Kunta Walker, Curling Todd, and Marcus Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Carr, Kelvin R. Carr, Jason Kittlin, Ralph P. Wallace, Bobby Addison, Teddy R. Wilson, Darren Kittlin, and DeMarcus Addison
