Jimmy Morris Richmond, 64, of Columbia, passed from this life on Friday, November 22, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born January 9, 1949 in Columbia to the union of his parents, Jim and Laura Lucille “Josie” Holmes Richmond. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. During his life, Jimmy enjoyed several occupations, including
being a heavy equipment operator and a former deputy sheriff for the Caldwell Parish Sheriff’s Office. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 25, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with the Revs. Jimmy Goodman and Brian Rankin officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. His father, Rev. Jim Richmond, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Haddox Richmond of Columbia; two daughters, Amanda Richmond Harrelson and husband Ricky of Andalusia, AL, and Amy Richmond Toney and husband Jason of Columbia; his mother, Josie
Richmond of Columbia; one brother, James Richmond and wife Barbara of Salpulpa, OK; four sisters, Janice Richmond of Jena, Sharon Curtis and husband Glen of Grayson, Kay Stinnett and husband Walter of Terral, TX, and Gloria Jean Parker and husband Cecil of Picayune, MS; three grandchildren, Hannah Harrelson Rabren and husband Stephen, Jesse Richmond and Lexi Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were nephews, Jeffrey Haddox, Steven Hatten, Thomas Benson, Scott Franklin, Craig Franklin, and great nephew, Matthew Justus. Honorary pallbearers were W. C. “Beaver” Beckley, Glen Franklin, Stacy Hatten, Andrew Strange, Russell Beckley, Steve May, and Jesse Richmond
