John Terry Rowell, 54, of Campti, passed from this life on Thursday, November 14, 2013. He was born Friday, February 13, 1959 in Urania to the union of his parents, T. J. and Opal Rowell. John was a member of United Baptist Church and was employed by J. B. Griffen. Services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, at United Baptist Church of Campti with Rev. Jerry Smiley officiating. Interment followed in the Couley Double Church Cemetery of Winnfield under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Survivors include his wife, Judy Rowell of Campti; six daughters, Tisha Williams and husband Jason of Tullos, Dana Rowell of Jonesboro, Katie Guillotte and husband Damon of Georgetown, Chelsea Rowell of Winnfield, Yamilla Marks and husband Nathan of Jonesboro, and Tiara Correa of Campti; three sons, John Eric Rowell and Jeremy Rowell, both of Winnfield, and Ismael Correa and wife Amber of Campti; one brother, Tandy Rowell of West Monroe; two sisters, Elvena Spears of West Monroe and Linda McDowell of Trout; and 19 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dustin Varnell, Damon Guillotte, Nathan Marks, Robbie McDowell, Jeff Pickett, and Weldon Short.
