Mary Jane Clark, 73, of Jena, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania. She was born August 7, 1944 to the union of her parents, Manning Woodrow and Gladys Oveta Tarver Joy. Mrs. Clark was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and she loved to cook and feed her family, along with everyone else. Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 31, at Pine Grove Baptist Church of Rhinehart with the Revs. Roger Whittington and Ken Gilmore officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Woodrow “Sonny” Joy, Charles Wesley “CW” Joy and Jerald Hailey; and sisters, Barbara Rice and Patsy Courtney. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Cecil Clark of Jena; sons, Daniel Clark of Lovell, WY and Isaac Clark and wife Rebecca of Rhinehart; daughters, Anna Gilmore and husband Ken of Alexandria and Eva Merryman of Rhinehart; sister, Rita Sanders of Pineville; grandchildren, Kayla Gallet, Bethany Russell, Simon Clark and Naomie Clark. Pallbearers were John Spears, Jr., Mike Williams, Jay Joy, Byron Cirilo, Timmy Clark, Tracy Clark, Joey Hargrove, and Dakota Clark. Honorary pallbearer was Randy Allen.
