Shawn Tarver, 67, of Jena, passed from this life on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She was born June 21, 1950 in Jena. Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Pastor Brandon Poole and Rev. Scotty McDowell officiating. Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena, under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ronnie H. Tarver; father, John Lee Walters; great-granddaughter, Lialah Celeste Whittington; and aunt, Wanda Greba. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Tracy Campbell and husband Doug of Jena, and Amy Taylor and husband Scotty of Trout; sister, Lee Trichel of West Monroe; grandchildren, Courtney Russell, Ashley Humphries, Alexis Campbell, Sydney Campbell all of Jena, and Austin Taylor of Trout; great-grandchildren, Brycen Russell, Raelynn Russell, Leah Whittington, and Laylah Humphries all of Jena; and her mother, Faye Girlinghouse Bayles. Pallbearers were Howard Chapman, Chance Willis, Buster Sharp, Dusti Robertson, Joe Jones and Harvey Blasingame.
