Frankie Marie Culp, 86, of Jena, passed from this life on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was born March 9, 1931 in Rhinehart to the union of her parents, Phillip Frank and Emmie Jewell Clark Paul. Mrs. Culp was a housewife, mother, active with the Southern Baptist Mission House in Jena working along with Mrs. Ruby, a member of Trinity Baptist Church, loved to bream fish, work in her garden, make jellies, hot dill pickles and any kind of activity that allowed her just to be outside. Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 2, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Paul; and sisters, Emmie Catherine Watson and Betha Lou Culp. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, James Daniel Culp of Rhinehart, and Patrick Wayne Culp of Grayson; daughter, Meredith Gayle Cloy of Magnolia, TX; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mason Simms, Jonathan Culp, James Culp, Luke Ricon, Alan Culp and Stipo Sokic.
