James Stanley Lee, Sr., 81, of Urania, passed from this life on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.
He was born March 6, 1936 in Urania to the union of his parents, Willis and Alay Mae Smith Lee.
James was a carpenter, crane operator, truck driver, and heavy equipment operator. He loved woodworking and trains.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 15, at Straight Road Full Gospel Church in Olla with Rev. John Norwood officiating.
Interment followed in Beech Creek Cemtery, west of Olla, under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosina Lee; son, Billy Finch; his parents; brothers, Richard Lee, Kenneth Lee, Willis Whitfield Lee, II, and Jack Lee.
He is survived by his son, James Stanley Lee, Jr. of Olla; daughter, Nancy Franklin of Urania; sister, Sarah Beth Jones of Urania; grandchildren, Jacob Dylan Lee, Destiny Diane Lee, Michel Lee and wife Becky, and Eric Finch and wife Randi; great-grandchildren, Brianna Cox, Jestin Cox, Mason Lee, Oktober Moon Finch, Xander Finch, and Cameron Finch; nephew and closest friend, Willis Whitfield “Tot” Lee, III.
Pallbearers were Dylan Lee, Donald Lee, Heath Lee, Scooter Lee, Alex Jones, and Jeff Jones.
Honorary pallbearer was Wayne Corley.
