
Evelyn M. Brockner, 92, of Olla, passed from this life on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.
She was born June 26, 1925 in Monroe to the union of her parents, Clay Mayes and Camille Volentine Mayes.
Mrs. Brockner was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Olla. She was a graduate of Kelly High School in Kelly, and attended both Louisiana Tech University and University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Together with her husband, the late Daniel William Brockner, she helped manage Brockner Oil and Gas and Brockner Properties, LLC, in Olla, for many years.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 24, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Aaron Carpenter officiating.
Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by her twin brother, Edwyn Clay Mayes.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her son, Daniel Clay Brockner and wife Alice of Winnfield; her daughter, Brenda Evelyn Brockner of Natchitoches; and her granddaughter, Megan Ann Brockner Maxwell and husband Eric of Baton Rouge.
