Wilber Edgar “Eddie” Taylor, 72, of Winnfield, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
He was born Wednesday, March 21, 1945 in Natchez, MS, attended Laurel Heights Baptist Church and was retired from Franks Logging. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield with the Revs. Arthur Robinson and Wallace Ingles officiating.
Interment followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery in Tannehill under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Octavia Coleman Taylor; wife, Chloteen Newsom Taylor; brothers, Tommy Taylor and Lonnie Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jewel Inez Norris Taylor; children, Glen Taylor and wife Kim, Brian Keith Taylor and wife Michelle, Carolyn Roy, Debra Hill, Brenda Smiley and Stacey Ferguson and husband Keith; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Cockerham and husband J.W.; and sister-in-law, Flora Stringer.
Pallbearers were Thomas Ray Berry, Brandon Womack, Phad Dempsey, Adam Franks, Jimmy Mercer and Jesse Mercer.
