Lemoine Evelyn Wilbanks Reedstrom, 95, of Marshall, Texas, passed from this life on Thursday, June 30, 2016.

She was born December 8, 1920 in Jena to the union of her parents, Kate and Harvey Wilbanks.

Mrs. Reedstrom moved to Houston, TX in 1942 with Humble Oil Company. In 1958 she was employed with the Spring Branch Independent School District until 1973 when she and her husband, Charles, started the family businesses, Computer Assistants and Compass Micromation.

In 1993, she and Charles visited the Holiday of Lights in Marshall, TX and decided not to leave but to make Marshall their home.

Lemoine was affectionately known as Hon, Moinster, Mom, friend, sweetheart, and Muppy by all. After 95 years of life, 68 of which she was the wife of Charles D. Reedstrom, she was called home by her loving Lord Jesus.

During her long and blessed life, she raised two children, and always had dinner on the table at 6 when Charles got home. She told her daughter that she always had something baking when they got home from school so the house would smell good.

She belonged to two Houston Sewing Clubs “The Stitch and Bitch Club” and “The Ladies Uplift Society” and GRITS (Girls Raised in the South). She loved sewing, making doll clothes, quilting, crossword puzzles, ceramics and watching birds.

She was a scout leader, substitute teacher, and church bulletin proof reader for years, as she laughed and said when I wasn’t working.

She was part of the United Methodist Women in Marshall, the Harrison County Historical Commission, the Depot restoration.

Mrs. Reedstrom was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Kathryn Wilbanks Watts; and her two brothers, Dan Wilbanks and Sam Wilbanks.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Reedstrom; her daughter Suzanne Reedstrom Kreklow; her son, Charles Dan “Chuck” Reedstrom; and their two sons, Richard and Kirk, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A simple graveside service to bring Lemoine home will be held at Nolley Memorial Methodist Church Cemetery in Jena at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017.
