
Thomas Louis Taylor, 92, of Olla, passed from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Hardtner Medical Center of Urania.
He was born July 5, 1924 in Hennon Camp, Louisiana, to the union of his parents, Balem Edwards Taylor and Mary Hatten Taylor.
Thomas was a decorated veteran with the Army who served in the Korean Conflict and World War II. He retired as a car salesman after many years and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, from the sanctuary of Zion Hill Baptist Church, west of Olla, with Rev. Jesse Henderson officiating.
Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.
He was met at Heaven’s gate by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mollie H. Taylor; his parents; his sons, Roger Dee Taylor and Kevin “Buster” Taylor; and his sister, Opal Reitzell,
Survivors include his sons, Eddie Taylor of Winn Parish, Tommy Taylor of Grayson, and John Kim Taylor and wife Bit of Olla; daughters, Vicki Taylor and Julie Taylor Woods and husband Raven, both of Winn Parish; grandchildren, Perry Taylor, Mike Taylor, Micheal Dee Taylor, Josh Taylor, Jonathan Taylor, Dana Taylor, Brett McManus, Stacey Wiggins, Natasha Wells, Chris Ford, Laci Stalcup and numerous great-grandchildren.
