Florence Evelyn Weaver Miller, 89, of Trout, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in Vidalia.
She was born August 25, 1927 in Urania to the union of her parents, Henry L. and Jesse Gertrude Tam Weaver.
Services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Reid Terry officiating.
Interment followed in the Urania Cemetery in Urania under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy D. Miller; her parents; two sisters, Billie Ruth Mills and Elouise Barnam; and one brother, Hilton “Buddy” Weaver.
Survivors include one son, Gerald D. Miller; three granddaughters, Robyn Miller, Nanci Quinley, and Tracie Kimes and husband Gary; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, along with some great-great neices and nephews.
Pallbearers were Joey McCann, John Campbell, Dwan Stringer, Hansen Stringer, Collin Stringer, and Bradley McDowell.
Honorary pallbearer was Bobby Wilson.
