
Judy Lee Baum Denison, 66, of Grayson, passed from this life on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She was born April 9, 1947, in Jena to the union of her parents, Orbin and Eva
Windham Baum. Judy was a member of Banks Springs Baptist Church in the Banks Springs Community near Grayson, where she served as church secretary and was a Sunday School teacher. She taught school in LaSalle and Caldwell parishes for over 20 years. She loved reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a big fan of the PBR and Louisiana Tech football. Services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 2, at Banks Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Eddie Riley, Carl Gulde, and Bobby White officiating. Chris Bennett delivered the eulogy. Interment followed in the Old Bethel Cemetery, west of Clarks, under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, James Denison of Grayson; daughter, Jana Bennett and husband Chris of Grayson; sister-in-law, Rachel Denison; grandchild, who was her little angel, Leslee Bennett; her little man, Cooper Denison; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Johnny Rosier, Rodney Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Carl Peavy, Donnie Peavy, Ron Payton, Jeff Denison, and Heath Denison. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Carroll Bates, Michael Joe Bates, Jerry Meredith, and Randy Hatten. Memorials may be made to the Gideons International of Columbia.
