Maxine Elizabeth Humble Cagle, 67, of Jackson, passed from this life on Friday, February 20, 2015, at her residence in Jackson. She was born September 23, 1947 in Jena to the union of her parents, Charlie and Bertha Humble of Manifest. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 23, at Community Pentecostal Church of Manifest with the Revs. David Poole and Ronnie House officiating. Interment followed in Huffman Cemetery under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; husbands, Johnny M. Sikes and Donald Ray Cagle; and two grandsons, Brent Hamilton and Brentlee Weeks. Survivors include her companion, E. Bud Whittington and extended family of three sons, Johnny “Bubba” Sikes and wife Sophia of Jena, Brian Sikes and wife Florence of Manifest, and Charlie Sikes and wife Carol Ann of Rhinehart; three daughters, Susan Verret and husband Roger of Tullos, Liz McGee and husband Jason of Manifest, and Beth Smith of Jackson; a brother, Edward Humble of Manifest; a sister, Elise Hayes of Wesson, MS; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Cody Roberts, Clyde Whitfield, Tim McDaniel, Ricky Weeks, Williams Crooks, and Perry Coats. Honorary pallbearers were Jacki Elliott, Marvin Whittington, and Stephen McClure
