Robert ‘Bob’ Oppegaard

Graveside services for Robert “Bob” Paw Paw Oppegaard, 68, of Georgetown, were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, with Rev. Joe Bruce officiating. Interment followed under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria. Mr. Oppegaard was the Seattle Seahawks’ number one fan. He served his country for four years in the U. S. Navy and for 7 years in the U. S. Army, and was a Vietnam Conflict veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Mickey Faircloth of Downsville. Survivors include two sons, John Faircloth and wife Robin of Georgetown, and Ray Faircloth of Dry Prong; three granddaughters, Velta Edwards and husband Justin, Brittany Faircloth and Victoria Atwell and husband Will, all of Georgetown; two great grandsons, Dreyke Edwards and Slaiden Atwell; three great granddaughters, Tara Black, Carly Atwell and Alayna Black, all of Georgetown. Pallbearers were Justin Edwards, Timmy Langley, Tristain Calk and Will Atwell.
