T. Lynn Cockerham

Theresa Lynn Cockerham, 68, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

She was born April 18, 1952 in Jena to the union of her parents, Marvin Cockerham, Sr. and Yvonne Cockerham.

Lynn was a licensed clinical social worker for thirty years, working as a regional program specialist for the state of Louisiana. She had received her master’s degree in social work at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She graduated from Jena High School in 1970.

She had a passion for traveling the world with her friends, Bobby and Linda, and Bill and Diane.

Lynn was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria and of the Friendship Ladies Sunday school class. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2021, in the chapel of Rush Funeral Home of Pineville with Rev. Todd Strain, Associate Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church of Alexandria, and Rev. Joel Johnson, pastor of Zenoria Baptist Church of Zenoria, officiating.

Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball under direction of Rush Funeral Home of Pineville.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her brother, Jack Cockerham and wife Mitzi, of French Settlement; two nieces, Samara Smith and husband, Carl, III, and Amanda Jean Parker and husband Lyle, all of Trout; and great nieces and nephews, Lydia, Luke, Maggie, Price Avery and Dolly Jean.

Pallbearers were David Cassell, John Jenkins, Paul Baum, Joey McCann, Rodney Smith, and Charlie Franklin.

Honorary pallbearers were Bobby McCobbie, Jerry Miller, Bobby Wilson, Roger Dobbs, Bill Koehl, and Gary Blonsky.
