Selma Ann McCartney Scott, 83, of Olla, passed from this life on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Pollock.
She was born December 6,1937 in Tullos to the union of her parents, John McCartney and Alma Hicks McCartney.
Services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Aaron Carpenter officiating.
Interment followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery near Urania under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Wilhight; parents; brother, Noble McCartney; and sister, Faye Tatum.
Those left to cherish in her memory include her husband, David Scott of Olla; sons, James Travis Brown (Teresa), and John Michael Brown, Sr. (Cathy), all of Olla; daughter, Patricia Levelle Davis of Trout; stepchildren, Fred Scott, Shannon Scott, and Rhonda Scott; brother, John McCartney; 12 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dameon Exline, Brad Meredith, John Michael Brown, Jr., Garett Smith, Gaven Smith, and Colby Brown.
Honorary Pallbearers were Dustin Wyant, Chris Rogers, and William Christopher Brown.
