Hortencia “Tenny” Nugent, 81, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
She was born January 11, 1939 in Brownsville, Texas, to the union of her parents, Roberto Ruiz and Anita R. Barrera.
Private graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 3, at Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena, with Rev. Daryl Black, Jr. officiating.
Interment followed under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home of Alexandria.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Titus Paul Nugent, Sr.; her parents; son, Titus Paul Nugent, Jr.; two sons-in-law, Michael W. Franklin and Todd Ranton.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Belinda (Ray) Hagen, Cynthia (Gary) Anglin and Brandy (Donnie) Hutto; five grandchildren, Joseph and Heather Hagen, Toni Kitterlin, Seth Franklin and Christopher Anglin; five great grandchildren, Lannah and Bradley Kitterlin, Kadence and Ellisa Franklin and Erica Janson; one great great granddaughter, Karmin Vaida Chaudoin; two sisters, Maria Olga Lopez (Ron Burnell), and Anita (Oscar) Anzaldúa; one brother, Roberto R. Barrera, Jr. (Cathy Duffield); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
