Carolyn Walker Jones, 74, of Jena, passed from this life on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
She was born May 30, 1946 in Jena to the union of her parents, Leland and Myrtle Mavis Smith Walker.
Carolyn was extremely talented in music, loved her family and grandchildren, as well as spent her life as a devoted home maker. She was a kind-hearted individual to all who personally knew her.
She enjoyed her music, playing the piano, and had a love for humming birds. She will be greatly missed by her family and those who had opportunity to cross paths with her.
Services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 27, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rodney Begnaud officiating.
Interment followed in the Belah Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Jones; her parents; one sister, Marilyn Whatley; and one brother, Leland “Puggy” Walker, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Danny Jones and wife Tammy of Natchitoches, and Brent Jones and wife Kelly of Jena; and her two loving grandchildren, Bryce and Brennan Jones.
