
Earl F. Rogers, 84, of Grayson, and a native of LaSalle Parish, passed from this life on Friday, September 11, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 11, 1936 in Urania to the union of his parents, John W. Rogers and Tootsie Caroline Durham Rogers.
Earl was a wonderful husband and loving father. He loved his family but he especially loved his grandchildren, with all his heart! He enjoyed grilling and loved it when everyone would come visit.
Above all, Earl loved the Lord and loved to talk about the bible. He was a media member of Family Worship Center of Baton Rouge, LA. Earl retired from Louisiana Pacific. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13, at Cross Roads Cemetery, west of Grayson, with Rev. Daniel Rogers officiating.
Interment followed under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandson, Kyle Rogers.
Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, for 63 years, his wife, JoAnn Rogers; daughter, Frieda Doffitt (Steve); sons, Burt Rogers (Teri), Steve Rogers (Dena), and Todd Rogers; as well as numerous grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Matt Doffitt, Dylan Rogers, Ben Clark, Jeff McKee, Stewart Baum and Nathan Plunkett.
